A Summary of 2019 Employee Offsite

On a late February Friday, our team of consultants took time to connect as a firm in beautiful Pacific City, Oregon.

We entered the day with 3 priorities:

  • Align where we are and where we are going as a firm
  • Connect and collaborate
  • Harness our collective experience to focus on future opportunities

We started the day by reviewing the history and connectivity between the more than 60 clients across various industries that Percipio has worked with in its 17-year tenure.

In a session focused on harnessing our collective strength, we jumped into a mapping workshop to reveal the connections each of us at Percipio has in our work backgrounds, professional networks, and the broader Portland-metro business community.

Next, we tapped our creativity in a ‘Shark Tank’ style approach to pitch back to the firm opportunities for growth and improvement of our delivery services.

Finally, a session on sharpening our skills helped us learn from one another how to improve communication, manage relationships, and better connect to the talent market.

Through group sessions and smaller team breakouts, all members of the firm had a chance to present and offer their insights – an opportunity to come together and to tap into the knowledge of Percipio’s most valuable assets- our consultants.

The day at the coast offered a chance for a team of project managers to do what project managers do best – review opportunity and capability gaps with a final retrospective on what went well, what we can improve upon, and action items for next steps.

We look to the months ahead in 2019 as a stronger and more united firm with clear ambitions for delivering valuable work for our clients.
