Welcome to this edition of Meet the Team! This week we are featuring the leader of Percipio's Risk Advisory Service Line, Kyle Renalds. Kyle has built his career on a passion for helping clients manage their risk profiles and the expertise gained from working with some of the best organizations in the PNW. In addition to all the knowledge Kyle brings to the table, we are especially grateful for the fun and energy he infuses into everything he does.
What has been your most fulfilling professional experience at Percipio?
My current work supporting one of the large, public universities in the PNW has been incredibly fulfilling. We are getting to see the almost immediate benefits of the work we are doing, so the connection between effort and outcome has been inspiring. Additionally, I am really inspired by the opportunity to lead Percipio's Risk Advisory Service Line. It has given me the chance to help our people and our clients get more informed about all things risk. What could be better than that?
What are you most excited about in this role? What are your expectations for yourself about the impact you can have on behalf of our clients?
I am extremely excited and honored to be given the opportunity to change our firm in a way that will help grow and scale our Risk Advisory Service Line and offerings. My expectations are that I will learn a lot more about our clients' needs and how the skills of our team can help meet those needs.
What are your areas of interest outside of your current role?
I welcome the opportunity to work on projects across all of Percipio's Service Lines (Strategy + Execution, People + Change, Technology Leadership, Risk Advisory). This will help me become more valuable to our clients and give Percipio an even stronger engine for delivering great work and successful outcomes in the marketplace.
What is a quote that resonates with you that you try and emulate in your day-to-day?
"There is no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure." - Colin Powell.
My personal motto is "Lead by example and positive action. Treat people as you want to be treated."
Who is the most influential person or role model in your life?
No question. My parents. They have always been hard workers who taught me the importance of a strong, moral compass. I am grateful every day for the example they set.
What challenges are you currently helping clients address? What challenges do you enjoy helping clients address?
I am currently helping provide an internal control structure around a new formed Shared Environment operating model. I really enjoy coming up with solutions to client's problems or frustrations and having fun while doing so.
What is your favorite thing about Portland and the PNW?
I love that we are an hour from the beach and an hour from the mountains. I am able to pursue my passions for the outdoors year-round.
What is a fun or random fact about you that would surprise people?
I am afraid of heights, but I have gone skydiving, canyon swinging, and bungee jumping. Still afraid of heights, though. I also love Christmas so much that my wife and I watch Hallmark Christmas movies the entire month of December.
Thank you, Kyle!
